Deepmock started with a simple idea: help one person prepare for their medical interview. Today, we're building the future of interview preparation for aspiring medical professionals.

In September 2025, Azri Johari secured his place in a radiology training program. His secret weapon? A rough interview practice tool his brother Khairi had built for him over the preceding months.
It started when Azri flew down from Brisbane for a Melbourne interview. The brothers ran some mock interviews together, but when interview day came, Azri felt he'd messed up. On the drive to the airport afterwards, Khairi asked him a simple question: "Tell me about yourself." Immediately, Azri sounded like a robot.
That was the moment it clicked. Azri had the knowledge, but the communication under interview pressure always got to him. Khairi thought: what if I build something he can rep out on his own, over and over, until the delivery feels natural? Something to bridge the gap between knowing the answers and actually communicating them with confidence.
So Khairi built a prototype. Azri started practising relentlessly on his own time, grinding out reps until his responses flowed naturally. It worked - he secured the position in September.
After Azri's success, conversations with other medical students revealed a bigger gap: premed students preparing for their initial medical school interviews needed the same thing. A way to grind out practice independently, complementing (not replacing) mock interviews with peers and mentors.
In October 2025 we launched Deepmock publicly, targeting GAMSAT and UCAT applicants mid-season. Despite being rough around the edges, students immediately saw the value and started paying for access, validating that we were solving a real problem.
We're building the go-to platform for medical students who want to practice interviews independently, on their own schedule.
No scheduling conflicts. No waiting for partners. Practice at 2am or 2pm - whenever works for you.
Getting into medical school shouldn't require expensive coaching. Quality practice should be accessible to all students.
The more you practice, the better you get. Our platform lets you do hundreds of reps to build true interview confidence.
From helping one person to building the future of interview prep
Khairi built the first version of Deepmock to help his brother Azri prepare for radiology specialty interviews. What started as a simple tool for one person would soon become something much bigger.
Azri successfully secured his position in the radiology program. Through the process, we realised this tool could help countless premed students facing the same challenges.
Released Deepmock to premed students, initially targeting GAMSAT and UCAT applicants. Despite being rudimentary, students immediately saw value and started paying for the platform - validating the market need.
As demand grew, we expanded the team to include developers, project managers, advisors, and specialists to build a world-class interview preparation platform.
Focused on building brand awareness, refining our platform, and establishing Deepmock as the standard for solo interview practice. Expanding to medical specialties and laying the groundwork for future sectors.

Every student deserves access to quality practice, regardless of their budget. We are focused on helping more Australian premed students build real interview confidence through solo practice, on both our free and premium tiers.
Our vision is to become the standard for solo interview practice. We are not trying to replace mock interviews with peers and mentors - we are building the tool you reach for when you need to grind out practice sessions on your own time. The platform that helps you build muscle memory, refine your answers, and track your improvement over hundreds of practice attempts.
While we are focused on premed students today, we are laying the groundwork for expansion into medical specialties, law school admissions, and graduate programs. But first, we are building an exceptionally strong foundation - ensuring our platform is world-class before we pursue partnerships with other medical education companies and expand into new markets.
"We started by helping one person. Now we're building something that can help every student achieve their dream of becoming a medical professional."
